Have you ever had a very tearful and tired baby who wants to be carried out of the car seat or pram while you are busy with grocery shopping? That was me. It wasn’t long before I started to avoid making trips to the store or shopping mall with baby T.
I hadn’t planned on baby wearing and as a first time mum wasn’t sure I needed this extra gear in addition to having a pram, carrycot, sleepyhead, bouncer etc. It became very apparent that for me to be able to get things done I needed some way of taking Baby T along. as he loved his cuddles. This was when I got my first baby wrap – solly wrap. Look out for my review in another post.
When Baby T got heavier, it was no longer safe to use the Solly wrap and I needed a way to back carry which is less of a hazard while I am busy in the kitchen. I wanted a baby carrier I didn’t have to tie. Despite weeks of practice with the solly wrap, which I found so handy for use in the house and in church and had become a pro at it, I needed something I could use quickly and easily while taking baby grocery shopping especially when it was so close to his nap time.
After extensive research and reading other reviews, I decided on the Ergo baby 360 carrier but when it arrived I found the insert fiddly wasn’t keen on velcro and I finally decided it wasn’t for me and returned it to the seller. I made a spur of the moment purchase while I was still trying to decide which baby carrier I came across a baby way carrier at my local Aldi and found it was a lot worse than Ergo it couldn’t even hold baby T up so I went back to the drawing board.
I came across a youtube review of the lillebaby, while I was looking for a carrier that was easy to carry baby on my back (backward carrier) and also had back support for front carry position.
I saw some fab designs and got excited but realised when I got to checkout that lillebaby.com would only deliver to US or Canada. I was so relieved to find a UK seller but they didn’t have a lot of options or the colour I really wanted but I was already very keen on getting this so I immediately placed my order after spending time trying to decide between Lillebaby complete airflow versus Lillebaby all seasons.
It was literally loved at first site and Baby T loved it as well
What I love about my Lillebaby complete airflow
- The mesh is so comfortable even when it was very hot in the summer we were both fine
- lumbar support is fab for carrying Baby T and even without, it still felt comfy.
- weight limit of 20kg as opposed to 15kg with some of the other baby carriers (Ergo360 etc)
- Can make seat wider or narrow was useful with front carry position (Baby T burst out laughing when he first experienced front carry position, we had all smiles which also meant happy mummy)
- Can use from birth without any additional inserts which at times could be fiddly.
I am now proudly a baby wearing mum and a believer. Baby wearing was what helped me carry on doing my daily activities and shopping trips with minimal disruptions and I had a more settled baby.
Even does last minute late night trips to the supermarket wasn’t so bad with my lillebaby carrier. I would often dread making these trips and avoid at all cost because I usually end up having tearful baby in my arm, an empty pram and my shopping basket.an experience. But with my Lillebaby complete airflow Baby T will fall asleep while I shopped after making his intentions known with very little to no fuss. Which was a much more pleasant experience.
You can see some fab variation of the Lillebaby complete airflow here. This was my ideal colour “Anchor way” or “grey with silver”
If you have any questions or would like to know more, please don’t hesitate to ask.

how’s the carrier going?

It is handy for trips without the baby pram especially the last minute grocery shopping but he is a big and active baby and so for long walks alone, I will opt for my icandy instead.
