Finally, summer is here and the SUN is out. It’s HOT HOT in the northeast of England. I can’t remember the last time we experienced summer like this.
Tim has always been a water-loving boy.
When we moved house, we got a shock from a deduction made by our water provider to cover the water bill. (Splashmania)
I needed a solution to keep this tot busy, especially now that the weather is lovely. I wanted a water table to keep him busy and away from the sink and taps. I came across a deal in Costco for the Step2 Seaside Shower water table. It had some fab reviews so we decided to give it a go.
And it was a HIT.
He spent hours playing with this until he was tired and ready to nap. He couldn’t wait to continue again
Even Baby Joel joined in the FUN.
It was easy to assemble, I did it myself. I didn’t know that it required 3 screws for the waterfall feature legs, which wasn’t included in the pack.
Thankfully, Udu’s toolbox came in handy. It had a wide range of screws to choose from which included ones that fit
The Step2 Seaside water table is a good size. It is large enough to accommodate more than one child, which is important for our growing family and for hosting play dates.
The height was also just right for Tim, who is 2 yrs old.
We love the waterfall feature, I watched Tim wash his hands, fill the buckets with war from the waterfall, then he washed some imaginary dishes
I am so glad he is already learning this valuable life skill 🙂
I read a review that said the plug for draining the water table was well hidden which was a plus. However, Tim discovered this plug and opened it TWICE drained all the water and wanted it refilled again. The most commonly used word in my house at the moment is MORE……..
I was relieved when he finally stopped opening the plug and continued with his imaginative play.
He also enjoyed removing and dismantling the extra features around the waterfall. He loves taking things apart and trying to put them back together.
Can you tell which parent, he got this from? :-0
I am sure we will be using this a lot this SUMMER.
Have you got other summer play ideas for your toddler?
